After 16 years in interior design and investing close to $50,000 in coaching and industry seminars,
I started to see a clear pattern.
There was a lot of great advice out there…
But a lot of it didn’t fit the business I actually wanted. I didn’t want a big studio. I didn’t want to chase luxury for the sake of it.
And I didn’t want to rely on vague strategies just to “get more clients.”
What I kept seeing instead were talented designers with great ideas…
But projects that never fully came together.
Clients confused.
Timelines dragging.
No finished installs.
No professional photos.
And the advice?
“Post more on Instagram.”
That wasn’t the problem.
The real issue is what happens during the project —
and how few designers are shown how to deliver a complete, done-for-you result.
